Waterfall Season

All waterfalls leads to whitewater - which makes this time of year very special, plus the snakes are still sleeping! Right now, local waterfalls are at full volume which is perfect for hiking, rock climbing and creek hopping. Even though many paddlers enjoy the chilly river water levels in spring, another way to enjoy spring is to just hike upstream to amazing waterfalls in the mountains nearby (these are all within 30 minutes of here)...

Red Fork Falls

Laurel Falls

Buckeye Falls

Rock Creek Falls

Wildflowers are also peeking out and the trees are returning to their bright green status all around us from now until early May. So until the river warms up enough to enjoy swimming, take a hike to see where all of this amazing whitewater comes from - just up the ridge from here :)
